About the club
Ten years of faith, football and friendship. The story of a club where the player always matters more than the result.
A club where every player matters
Ambassadors FC Praha is a Christian football club that since 2016 has been building a place in Prague where every player can grow — as an athlete and as a person. We believe football is more than a game: it is a school of character, friendship and responsibility.
Our coaches share a love of football and a personal faith in Jesus Christ. They do more than run training sessions — they guide their players, listen to them and stand by them off the pitch as well. And our doors are open to all: we welcome every child, whatever their family's faith.
We are part of Ambassadors Football, a movement that serves people through football in more than 35 countries. Our parent organisation, Ambassadors Football Czech Republic, has been at work in this country since the 1990s.

From one team to eleven
It began with a single men's team, a handful of enthusiasts and a dream of a club where the player would matter more than the result. Ten years later, more than three hundred players train in eleven teams. Behind every chapter of this story stand devoted coaches, parents, volunteers and donors — and God's faithfulness, for which we are deeply grateful.
2016
One team, one dream
The club was founded on 9 March 2016. Ondřej Mazaný and Jan Němeček led it, and Petr Jeník became its head coach. Back then Ambassadors FC Praha was a single competitive team — a men's side that entered Prague's III. třída league. By the end of its first year the club had thirty members and a clear mission: to pass on Christian values through football.
2019
Opening the doors to children
Three years on, the club had 165 members, fourteen coaches and eight teams — the men were now joined by a futsal side, juniors, pupils and the youngest age groups. Most of the players came from backgrounds in which they first heard the gospel at the club itself. The men celebrated their first promotion, and one of the youth teams began playing matches against other Prague clubs.
2020–2021
Faithful through hard times
The COVID-19 pandemic brought sport across the country to a standstill for months at a time. Whenever it was possible, the coaches took their teams back onto the pitch. The club did not merely come through this test — it kept growing: a youth team entered the Prague Football Association's league, and by the end of 2021 more than 170 players were training in three competitive teams and five non-competitive groups.
2022
From father to son
In March 2022 Jan Němeček handed the leadership of the club to Lukáš Kozák, and the club entered its third generation of leadership. The new role of club head coach was created, and Tomáš Jeník took it on — the son of Petr Jeník, the club's first head coach. What the father helped to build years ago, the son now carries forward. The club also opened its teams to the children of Ukrainian refugees, and by the end of the year almost two hundred players were playing for it.
2023
Open doors
A new competitive U17 team was founded, and a women's team began training. Under the American missionary Daniel Blessing a team was formed in which Czech and Ukrainian players play side by side — and on the pitch today you cannot tell who comes from where. Most of our coaches earned an FAČR coaching licence, and the club grew to 240 players.
2024–2025
Growth that brings responsibility
Competitive U19 and U13 teams were added and the number of players passed 280. A friendship with the Ukrainian club Nadiya from Rivne brought its players to Prague for a week. With growth came responsibility: the club began reshaping its internal structure so that it can keep growing in a healthy way, and it looks towards its great dream — a pitch and clubhouse of its own. For now we train on rented pitches across Prague, and our long-term aim is to stay in Vinohrady.
2026
Ten years
Ten years after its founding, the club has eleven teams, six of them competitive — most recently the U11s, where children aged 9 to 11 are playing the first competitive matches of their lives. More than three hundred players are led by twenty-five coaches. One dream has become a large family. Thank you to everyone who helps to build it — we look ahead to the next ten years with gratitude.
What holds us together
Football brings us together. What makes us a club are the values we share.
A player is more than a result
We rejoice in every win, but for us the real measure of success is who a player is becoming. We develop their skills, their character and their confidence.
Coaches who lead by example
Our coaches are people of faith who love football. They support their players on the pitch and in the rest of their lives too.
A faith we live out
We do not impose our faith, nor do we hide it. We share the values of the gospel through stories from the Bible and our own experience — at training, at camps and when we meet together.
Open doors for everyone
Everyone finds a place here — whatever their faith, background or level of football. Our teams are open to the children of Ukrainian refugees too.
