Thank you, Kryštof

After ten years, our captain Kryštof Rybáček is saying goodbye to Ambassadors. He is leaving to work in Germany — and taking a piece of the A team's history with him. This is our thank-you.
Some departures can be recorded with a single line on the squad list. This is not one of them. After ten years, Kryštof Rybáček is saying goodbye to Ambassadors — A team captain, defender with the number 4 on his back, and someone without whom, honestly, we find it hard to picture our dressing room. Kryštof is leaving to take up work in Germany.
Ten years
Ten years is a long time in football. Team-mates, coaches, opponents, pitches and kits all come and go. Kryštof stayed. He started playing football in the Šumava region, came to Ambassadors as a player — and leaves as one of the people who helped build this club. He went through wins and defeats with us, seasons when everything clicked and seasons when nothing did. And he was there every time.
Captain
On the pitch, Kryštof was the brain of our defence. His greatest weapon was his passing — precise, considered, often played from our own half to exactly the place no one else had spotted. He knew when to push the back line up and when to drop it, and he could hold the team together when a match got tight.
But a captain's armband is not worn only for what you can do with the ball. Kryštof was the team's voice — positive, loud, encouraging. The one who lifted his head first after a bad moment and pulled everyone else along with him. The one who could spark the team at exactly the moment it needed it most.
More than football
At Ambassadors we always say that football is a means, not an end. Kryštof lived that. He set an example not only in how he played but in how he carried himself — on the pitch, in the dressing room and away from both. Faith was never a slogan on a poster for him but part of his life, and that is exactly why he fitted into this club so naturally.
Thank you
Kryštof, for all these years you have our enormous thanks. For every training session you turned up to, even when you didn't feel like it. For every pass, every tackle and every word in the dressing room. For representing not just the A team but the whole club with the armband on. And above all, for the kind of person you have been.
We hope you feel at home in Germany quickly, and that God's blessing goes with you on the road ahead. Whenever you are back in Prague, you know where to find us. The dressing-room door stays open.
Thank you for everything, captain.
