Autumn wrapped up: 26–0 over the last three rounds

The A team closed the autumn with wins of 8–0, 3–0 and 15–0. A look back at the last three rounds, the numbers for the whole autumn, how we compare with the other 3rd division groups, and head coach Tomáš Jeník on our only defeat.

The autumn is behind us. Nine rounds, eight wins, one defeat, a goal difference of 59–6 and 24 points. The Ambassadors FC Praha A team finished it top of group C, three points ahead of Slovan Bohnice “B” and four ahead of Horní Měcholupy “B”.

And it finished in a way that will be remembered for a long time. The last three matches: 8–0, 3–0 and 15–0. Nine points out of nine, twenty-six goals scored and not a single one conceded.

Round 7: Ambassadors 8–0 Partisan Prague F.C. “B”

On Sunday 18 October we hosted Partisan at Aritma. It was only 2–0 at half-time, with goals from Marek Štícha in the 11th minute and Vendelín Karásek in the 27th. After the break there was no stopping us.

Radek Vachtl scored a hat-trick in the second half (in the 47th, 53rd and 74th minutes, the first from a penalty), Karásek added a second and Albert Petránek got on the scoresheet too. Hugo Záleský had the last word in the 86th minute.

Round 8: Sparta Krč 0–3 Ambassadors

Ambassadors players in blue shake hands with their opponents and the officials.

On Friday 23 October in the evening we travelled to the artificial pitch in Braník. Sparta Krč, who finish the autumn in fourth place, were the highest-placed of our last three opponents. And the result was the narrowest of the three.

We decided the match in the first half. Marek Štícha scored in the very first minute, and Šimon Hladík added a second in the 42nd. Radek Vachtl sealed the score in the 83rd.

Two Ambassadors players in blue walk across the pitch, with a goal, a goalkeeper in green and the referee behind them.

Krč played with ten men from the 57th minute, when Daniel Hanzl was sent off. In the 85th minute our Vendelín Karásek also had to leave the pitch early after a second yellow card.

Round 9: Ambassadors 15–0 Sokol Lipence “B”

The last match of the autumn was also the one with the most goals. On Sunday 1 November at Aritma, head coach Tomáš Jeník opened the scoring himself, finding the net as a player in the 16th minute. Hugo Záleský (28th), Eliáš Abu Ghosh (33rd) and Filip Helfert (40th) followed. We went into the dressing room at 4–0.

The second half belonged to the scorers. Adam Aarons (48th), Kryštof Stoilov twice (55th and 58th), Záleský (66th), Radek Vachtl (68th and 78th from a penalty). And then came the storm: five goals between the 82nd and 88th minutes. Záleský completed his hat-trick, Filip Helfert scored three times within five minutes (83rd, 87th and 88th) and Albert Petránek added one (85th).

So Helfert finished with four goals, Záleský with three, Vachtl and Stoilov with two each. Eight different scorers in all.

15–0 is the biggest win of the autumn in the Prague men’s 3rd division. We share it with a team from group B, who won by the same score a day earlier.

Who scored

Last three rounds, 26 goals:

  • Radek Vachtl – 6 (two from penalties)
  • Hugo Záleský – 4
  • Filip Helfert – 4
  • Kryštof Stoilov, Vendelín Karásek, Marek Štícha, Albert Petránek – 2 each
  • Šimon Hladík, Tomáš Jeník, Eliáš Abu Ghosh, Adam Aarons – 1 each

The whole autumn, according to the association’s statistics:

  • Hugo Záleský – 15 goals. Top scorer in group C. Across all three 3rd division groups only two scorers from group B are ahead of him, both with twenty goals.
  • Radek Vachtl – 9 goals. Second best in the group.
  • Filip Helfert 5 goals in four matches, Šimon Hladík and Kryštof Stoilov four each, Vendelín Karásek three.

The association’s record of round 1 (0–7 in Chuchle) lists no scorers for the seven goals, so they don’t count towards anyone’s statistics.

Who played the most

According to the association’s records, Hugo Záleský and Eliáš Abu Ghosh played 817 minutes each — all nine matches in full. Radek Vachtl has 811. Goalkeeper Vít Petrů and Kryštof Stoilov played eight matches and have 727 minutes each.

Záleský is therefore the group’s top scorer and also the one who didn’t miss a single minute.

Who kept a clean sheet

Six clean sheets in nine matches. Vít Petrů has five of them (rounds 1, 4, 7, 8 and 9), Štěpán Bradáč one (round 2). All three zeros in the last three rounds belong to Petrů.

We conceded in only three matches all autumn: against Bohnice (1), Měcholupy (4) and at Galaksia (1). Six in total, the fewest in the whole 3rd division.

The only slip: Měcholupy

The autumn wasn’t entirely without a scratch. In round 5, on 4 October, we lost at home to Horní Měcholupy “B” 3–4. The visitors led 3–1 after half an hour. Three times we pulled back to within a single goal (Záleský twice, Hladík once), but we couldn’t level. It was the only defeat of the autumn.

Today the visitors have 20 points and are third. We have 24. And that is exactly where the gap everyone talks about came from.

Head coach Tomáš Jeník doesn’t dress it up:

“It’s a pity. If we’d beaten Měcholupy, we’d have a six-point lead today. And that’s a nice cushion.”

“But I don’t look at that match as just a loss. It was a wake-up call. Exactly the one we needed.”

“There are always obstacles on the road to a dream. That was one of them. Unnecessary, let’s be honest. But it’s good that it happened now, and not at a moment when it would cost us promotion.”

The numbers back him up. Since Měcholupy the A team has played four matches and won all four, 31–1 on goals.

“That’s how I want to see it going forward. Promotion isn’t won in one match, but in every one.”

Are we the best team in the 3rd division?

The Prague men’s 3rd division has three groups. We looked at how we’d stack up with them side by side. The data is as of 2 November 2026.

On points, only one team is ahead of us: Union Břevnov from group A has 25 points, we have 24. But Břevnov has played nine rounds out of eleven, while we have played all nine of nine.

In everything else, Ambassadors come first on the numbers:

  • Most goals scored: 59. The second-best attack has 55 goals, from group B and after eight matches.
  • Fewest goals conceded: 6. Nobody else in the 3rd division has fewer than nine.
  • Best goal difference: +53. Second is +46, third +34.

For completeness: on points per match we are overtaken by Břevnov (2.78) and Běchovice from group B (2.75, after eight matches); we have 2.67. And group B scores slightly more per match than we do (6.9 goals against our 6.6).

Groups A and B still have two and one rounds to play respectively, so the numbers will still move. We are already done with the autumn. Who is really the best in the 3rd division will be decided in the spring. But we are among the main favourites, no question.

What’s next

The autumn is over, the goal from the summer stands: promotion to the 2nd division. We’ll publish the spring dates on the A team matches page as soon as we know them.

In the dressing room, a man in a white long-sleeved shirt speaks while a player in a blue shirt smiles behind him.

Thanks to the lads for the autumn, to the coaches for their work, to the goalkeepers Vít Petrů and Štěpán Bradáč for the zeros, and to everyone who came to support us at Aritma and at our opponents’ grounds.

We’ll pick up again in the spring.
